By giving us this information, you consent to this information being collected, used, disclosed, transferred or stored by the hotel or our third-party providers as described in this privacy policy. In the interest of your privacy, we only collect, use and retain information reasonably required for our legitimate business interests, such as processing bookings and queries or providing you with marketing materials.

Cookies are small amounts of information that are sent to and are stored on your computer. They are used by Bank House  to identify you when you visit the site, and to make your use of the site more convenient for you. If you do not wish to have Cookies placed on your computer you can disable Cookies on your Internet browser.

We use Sophos Endpoint Security and Control for Windows. We implement a variety of security measures when a user makes a booking, enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information.

Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit card information you supply is encrypted via SSL Secure Socket Layer technology. If a security breach causes an unauthorized intrusion into our system that materially affects you, then Bank House  will notify you as soon as possible and later report the action we took in response.

Access to Personally Identifiable Information

If your personally identifiable information changes or you wish your information to be removed from our records, you may update or delete it by emailing Bank House . We will give you access to your personally identifiable information that we hold within 30 days of a request to access. You may send a request to this email address info@thebankhouse.co.uk.  If you wish to stop receiving email newsletters, click on the unsubscribe link on any of the newsletters.

How Long Personal Data is Kept

We will retain your information for as long as required to deliver your service, agreement or resolve any issues, or until advised not to. Please note that we cannot always delete records of all historical data. For example, we are required to retain certain records for financial reporting and compliance reasons.

Any information, communications, or materials you submit to us via a social media platform is done at your own risk without any expectation of privacy. We cannot control the actions of other users of these platforms or the actions of the platforms themselves. Legal Policy

Guarantee Policy

All reservations require a guarantee or deposit in lieu. Methods that are accepted as a guarantee include: credit card, deposit, a pre-approved travel agent or a pre-approved company. Guaranteed reservations are held until 10am the day after scheduled arrival.

Deposit Policy

A deposit may be used as a method of guarantee. The following are accepted deposit methods: wire transfer, bank cheque, company cheque, traveller’s cheque or cash. Deposits are non-refundable.

Payment

Payments to Bank House  are to be made on the date(s) and in the amounts to be calculated as specified at the time of booking or outlined in contracts made.  If any services under the contract are varied prior to arrival then the payment made will reflect the latest details contained in the written details of Bank House . 

Any additional charges due to Bank House  for services provided shall be paid by the Client on presentation of an invoice.

For room reservations made using the advance purchase rate full payment will be taken at the time of booking. This payment is not refundable in the event of any amendment or cancellation made less than 14 days prior to arrival.

Walk in guests will be asked to either pay for the room in full with cash payment, or a valid credit or debit card must be swiped through the chip and pin machine and adequate authorisation taken

All walk in and same day booking guests must provide photographic identification on arrival regardless of their nationality

Cancellation and “No Show” Policy

Any room cancellations must be made 48 hours in adance of 3pm on the scheduled day of arrival to avoid a penalty of one night’s room charge. 

Group Policy

For reservations requiring 5 rooms or more please contact our Reservations Manager at the hotel.

Room Availability

Specific rooms cannot be guaranteed.

Reserved rooms are available to the guest from 3pm on the arrival date, and must be vacated no later than 11am on the day of departure.  Additional charges will be applied to the guest account for later departures.

CCTV

In the public areas of Bank House  and some staff areas CCTV is in operation and video recordings may be made. This activity is carried out for security and service reasons for the better management of Bank House  and security for all its Clients and staff.  For further information regarding the hotel’s CCTV application should be made to the General Manager.
