What’s On: Henry Moore at Houghton
Henry Moore at Houghton, 1stMay – 29thSeptember. The must see exhibition of the year.
In a unique collaboration with the Henry Moore Foundation, Houghton Hall in Norfolk presents this major exhibition Henry Moore at Houghton Hall: Nature and Inspiration – the first significant show of the artist’s work in East Anglia.

Snettisham Torcs at Lynn Museum
On loan from British Museum, till 18thAugust
The Snettisham Treasure is the largest assemblage of Iron Age bronze, silver and gold objects found in Europe. It consists of a number of separately buried hoards containing torcs (neck rings), coins, ingots and other objects.
Visit Lynn Museum to see a special display of three items from the famous Snettisham Treasure, on loan from the British Museum.
What’s On: King’s Lynn Farmers Market
Now taking a break for the winter, the Farmer’s Market will be back Saturday 9th March and then on the second Saturday of every month with a host of local producers selling everything from bread, charcuterie, seafood, handmade donuts, gin, vegetables and much, much more!
What’s On: Groundworks Gallery – Water Rising Exhibition
Bank House and GroundWork Gallery are both located next to the Purfleet, which is is tributary of the Great Ouse. Both of which you can see from Bank House. This exhibition features works by artists who are thinking about the resourcefulness we need as we live with water. How do we save water? How do we pit our strength against water? What happens when water threatens to engulph us? How do we cope when there is too much or too little water?
What’s On: Asda Foundation GEAR 10km Run
Takes place on Sunday 10th May.
Each year thousands of runners take part in the Grand East Anglia Run (GEAR) 10K, attracted by a scenic route that features the pretty town centre, River Ouse pathway and The Walks and impressive landmarks including the Custom House, Red Mount and Greyfriars Tower.
This popular event sold out in both 2017 and 2018, so if you want to get a fun, friendly and fantastic spring event in your 2019 running diary, now’s the time to snap up a place.
What’s On: Hanse Festival and King’s Lynn Regatta
Sunday 12th May 2019. A packed programme of events and activities has been organised to celebrate International Hanse Day and King’s Lynn’s membership of the new Hanse.
King’s Staithe Square will be the hub for music. Fun activities for children will take place at King’s Lynn Town Hall, Hanse House and through the town. With a parade of flags, regatta, and Hanseatic Treasure Trail, there is something for everyone.

What’s On: King’s Lynn Festival
26th – 28th April and 14th – 27th July. King’s Lynn Festival, now in its 67th year, continues to provide high quality performances of classical music, recitals, choral and jazz plus talks, exhibitions and films. The Festival features internationally renowned performers and uses beautiful historic venues around the town, including England’s largest surviving Mediaeval Guildhall.

Friday 26th – Sun 28th April, St. Georges Guidhall.
Join us for the first King’s Lynn Shakespeare Festival. Over three days in April 2019, the works of the Bard will be celebrated in workshops, performance and discussion in the very theatre where it is thought that the great playwright himself performed in 1592. Features two guest performances by Sir Ian McKellen and Andrew Jarvis.
